Container Gardening is an effective means to keep your gardening experience fun and hands on with your favorite plants. Container gardening offers many benefits, the main being that it can be used to grow any variety of flowering plants in containers. The beauty of container gardening lies in the fact you can move your plants about as often as you like. You can also have your favorite plants placed exactly where you want them. Your garden doesn’t need to be a square yard as long as you have enough room to allow for good drainage.
This is my favorite type of container gardening. I use it mostly to bring new, wonderful blooms into my home. There is nothing more exciting than spring when you can open up your beautiful garden and put in the best flowers that come from your soil. I like to use a white, black, melon or gold 12-inch pot for all my plants, but the choice is yours.
This is my favorite variety of container gardening because it provides the best drainage for me. The larger black pebbles will break loose and allow the water to drain. The smaller pebbles will stay in place and don’t break loose. They come in all sorts of colors and I just love them! The peach planter hand glazed indoor flower pot for all washes over and dry out completely so it doesn’t get moldy like many other pots do.
All of my plants love this water garden style. I can plant the pebbles right in and they grow nice and big. I use this planter in conjunction with a big plant (peel off the stem) and a small melon (peel off the seeds). With the smaller plant, I have partial sun for the bigger melon all year round. When the colder weather hits, I put the peels on top of the plant to keep them safe and dry.
This is a big pot with a big plant in it. The big plant has beautiful foliage that I like for climbing. It also has partial shade for the larger foliage. It’s not very deep, just deep enough for the plant to grow, and it has a decent drainage.
Since the plant is growing in this big black plant pot, it gets a lot more sun and therefore grows very well. I sometimes put a little bit of organic mulch in the bottom of the pot to help hold in the moisture. The plant also does pretty well with the soil I use and it holds in moisture nicely.
If you have a smaller garden, then you will have less room to grow anything really tall or heavy. That’s one of the reasons that I tend to grow plants that are a little thinner. By having a smaller plant pot, they need less water. The black color of the leafs helps prevent them from getting moldy as well, and with the drainage, they stay cool and don’t need to be exposed to high temperatures.
Whatever pot you choose, you want to take some time and think about the kind of plant it is. A black plant pot is probably best for a perennial because you can move it around a bit and report it when it starts to get a bit tall. They usually don’t do too well in containers. So make sure you think about the size of your yard, and then go from there. You can buy black plant pots at most garden centers, home improvement stores, or even online.
